How to play

There’s been a murder! In fact, more than one murder! At a wild party at Saltwood Manor, a person has been murdered in every room. Your job, as the investigating detective, is to find out who the murderers are. Some can be caught red-handed, while other rooms have many suspects.

To help you work it out, there are three simple rules:

1

Killers work alone

There's only one murderer in each room.

2

Killers stand alone

If a murderer is accused, everyone else in their row or column is safe.

3

Killers stand apart

There is always at least one clear square in all directions between each murderer.

How to mark the board

Tap a square to mark the innocents with an X.

Double-tap someone to accuse them.

Drag across squares to add or remove several Xs in one go.

A tip

If logic fails and you get stuck, trust your instinct – you always have Undo.

Hard mode

Turn this on in Settings if you want a sterner case: Undo disappears, so you have to live with your accusations. If you paint yourself into a corner, clear the board and try the same house again.
